The Journey (1989 / 2017)

Kjersti created THE JOURNEY in 1989. THE JOURNEY is a dance piece that portrays the existential inner journey that people's lives are. More specifically, the piece is about the journey on which the world's refugees have been driven.

Unfortunately the theme is ever more relevant today than when it was played for the first time. After the premiere at Black Box Theatre i Oslo in 1989, it was also stages again in 1991 and 1993. In 2017 THE JOURNEY was revived againg for the celebration of Kjersti's 50th anniversary as a dance artist. This time with a new cast.
